Our Coaches
Michael Davies
Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, Davies played his youth hockey for the AAA Jr Blues organization. At 17, he left home to play in the USHL, playing his first season for the Dubuque Fighting Saints and his second season for the Waterloo Blackhawks, where he earned 2nd team all USHL honors.
Following his second season, he went on to play at the University of Denver, where he won a national championship with the Pioneers in 2017. He earned a spot on the NCHC all-freshman team, was named Keith Magnuson defensive player of the year his Jr and Sr season and competed in 159 games during his time with the Pioneers.
Following his collegiate career, he went on to play 30 games in the ECHL before retiring due to a hip injury. Davies is currently in his first season as a tier 1 head coach after serving two seasons as an assistant.
James Angelicola
A current On Ice Instructor, NAHL Scout, and Tier 1 Coach, James has several years of experience helping players advance and develop their skill set.
Coach Angelicola grew up playing Hockey for the Syracuse Stars Organization. His Junior Hockey career included two seasons spent with the Syracuse Stars of the EMJHL, two seasons with the Rochester Stars of the EJHL, and one season with the Rochester Jr. Americans of the USPHL in the league's inaugural season.
James went on to play NCAA Division III Hockey for New England College and also was a member of the Lacrosse Program at NEC. Following his Collegiate Ice Hockey career, James had a small stint in Professional Hockey with the Danville Dashers of the FHL.
James enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his wife Hannah, daughter Stella, and two dogs Willa and Woodford.
